Last week we held our Applied Innovation Workshop for a Fortune 100 company, this time in Gdansk Poland. I left for Poland on Monday, got there on Tuesday, taught a full day workshop on Wednesday and headed back home at 4 am Thursday morning. My body didn’t know if it was the middle of the day or night.
All that travel was made worthwhile when a workshop participant came up to me during a break and said, "I am a really process oriented and thought that meant I could never be innovative. I never knew about divergent thinking and how powerful the combination of divergent and convergent thinking could be. I can be innovative too!” It felt like new doors were opened for him. That made all that travel and jet-lag worthwhile! I was super impressed with the level of engagement and ingenuity of the group. Can’t wait to spend more time with the team in Poland.
